When we found baby Maya on the street, her tiny body was struggling to survive. Her eyes were ruptured and could not be saved, leaving her completely blind and in constant discomfort.
The only way to save her life is a double enucleation surgery (removing both damaged eyes). At the clinic, Maya’s condition was stabilized, and she was finally ready for this life-changing surgery. The operation was a success.
Her painful eyes are gone, and with them, the chance of future infections or ruptures.
But the journey isn’t over yet. Maya is now in recovery, receiving round-the-clock care to help her heal. She’s a tiny fighter, but her body needs time and support to fully recover.
