Driving Transformation: A Mobility Vehicle for CHE–UGANDA.

The Vision
CHE–Uganda (Community Health Empowerment Uganda) exists to transform lives in Northern Uganda by promoting:
• Primary Health Care
• Sustainable Agriculture
• Financial Literacy & Self-Governance
• Community Development & Empowerment
Our holistic approach equips households and entire communities to rise out of poverty, build resilience, and live with dignity.
The Challenge
Northern Uganda is home not only to local communities but also to one of the largest refugee populations in Africa, particularly in West Nile sub-region (hosting refugees from South Sudan and DR Congo).
Reaching underserved villages and refugee settlements in West Nile, Acholi, Lango, Teso, and Karamoja is extremely difficult due to:
• Poor and seasonal road networks
• Long travel distances
• Limited transport capacity for outreach teams
Without reliable mobility, essential services such as health care, agricultural training, and community empowerment cannot reach those who need them most—especially refugees and their host communities who face significant vulnerabilities. Poor road networks, vast distances, and seasonal inaccessibility severely hinder our field teams. Without dependable mobility, vital services—health care, training, and empowerment programs—are delayed or canceled, leaving vulnerable families without support.
The Solution
We are seeking support to purchase a brand-new Toyota Land Cruiser 79 Double Cabin—a vehicle renowned for its durability and reliability in Africa’s toughest terrains.
This vehicle will be:
• Fitted with a custom carriage for supplies and outreach materials
• Equipped with essential accessories for rugged field operations
• Outfitted with training gear storage for mobile capacity-building programs
Impact
This mobility solution will directly:
Expand access to primary health care through mobile clinics and health education.
Strengthen sustainable agriculture by delivering training and on-site demonstrations.
Empower communities through financial literacy, leadership development, and self-governance training.
Reach the unreached, serving remote villages across five sub-regions.
Outcome: Thousands of households will gain access to health, knowledge, and empowerment each year—laying foundations for sustainable community transformation.
