Hello, my name is Matte Shafic, Foster Father of 35 orphaned children.

I am reaching out to you today with a heart that is both full of love and heavy with worry.

I'm the founder and caregiver at the M&S Foundation, "Building A Brighter Future For Children." Right now, that future hangs by a thread.

We are a family. Not by blood, but by circumstance and by choice. We are 35 children who have found solace and safety under one roof. This roof, however, is not our own. It is a rented house, and the fear of losing it is a shadow that follows us every single day.

Right now, we are facing a crisis that threatens to break our family apart:

Our food supplies are almost gone. The joy of sharing a meal is being replaced by the gnawing pain of empty stomachs. How do you tell a child there is nothing for dinner?

15 of our children are in school, proudly wearing their uniforms. But for the others, their dreams of learning are on hold because we cannot afford their school fees. We watch their hope dim every day they cannot join their friends.

A simple fever or cough becomes a terrifying ordeal. We have no money for basic medications. Their health is at risk, and our medicine cabinet is filled with nothing but our anxieties.

Their clothes are worn thin, mended until they can be mended no more. A simple, warm sweater is a luxury we cannot provide.

These children have already faced more hardship in their young lives than anyone should. They deserve safety. They deserve full bellies. They deserve an education. They deserve to be children, free from the fear of where they will sleep or if they will get better when they are sick.

We are not asking for luxuries. We are begging for the basics of survival and dignity.

Our goal is to raise $5,000. This money will be a lifeline that will:

$2,000: Secure our home for the next few months. Give us the safety of a roof.

$1,500: Clear the outstanding school fees and ensure every child can go to school this term. Give them the gift of knowledge.

$1,000: Stock our pantry with nutritious food and fill our medicine cabinet. Give them health and strength.

$500: Provide warm clothes, shoes, and essential toiletries. Give them dignity.
