RAISING FUNDS TO HELP PROVIDE FREE LEGAL SERVICES TO MY COMMUNITY IN TESO, UGANDA ON LAND TENURE AND REFORM LAWS

The region i come from is called Teso, located in Eastern and also North Eastern of Uganda, East Africa.
From time immemorial, our land tenure system has primarily been customary, where clans own land communally. However with the recent developments and constitutional amendments on land laws and reforms, the customary land tenure is quickly being disorganized.
This has led to land grabbings, evictions, family breakups, loss of livelihood and deaths out of the wrangles in the region.
This is primarily due to the ignorance of the community people who mostly are uneducated of the land reform laws and succession laws, and therefore there is need to go to the communities, liase with the leaders so as to educate the communities about their rights and also their responsiblities about the various land tenure systems and succession incase of loss of loved ones that owned property.
